Pattern of the Week Kwik Sew 3874 - Skirt Style Jumpsuit and Dress

Another Week another POW! A classic pattern this week from Kwik Sew, a double whammy Skirt and Jumpsuit combo for the summer months. Now I've never used a Kwik Sew pattern, but looking at this design and the name of the company this should be a lovely quick make! A nice button up front, with spaghetti straps and princess seams give a lovely fit, with an interesting V shaped waistline at the front, leading to rather wide leg shorts or a lovely gathered skirt. (I think I also spy pockets on those shorts - result!)
This Pattern was designed for lightweight woven fabrics, so think Cotton, cotton typeschallissilkrayon/blendslinen. The fabric world is your oyster for this one! A lovely Summer Fabric is definitely the way to go. I'm dying to use this brand new cotton lawn we have in. It's called "French Words"and it's screaming vintage summer to me! A bit O.T.T. but in a fabulous way!
Challis is rearing it's fabulous head again this week! I'm feeling our  All Over Small Floral Print Viscose Challis, specifically the Ivory and Pink. Divine!
I'm also very tempted by our Polycotton range for this pattern, especially our Mini Stripe Polycotton Seersucker!
I think it would create a lovely textured finish and with such a simple cut pattern it would work perfectly.
It's also a great opportunity to rock out some lovely buttons. I'm craving these Pearl Buttons!!
Be sure to share if you make this beauty! The pattern, seersucker and buttons are already in my basket ;)
