Can you keep a secret? For our Minerva Crafts Blogger Network post this month we were given one, simple brief; choose a project suitable for a celebration, create it and then don't tell a soul! Until the weekend of 14th June that is when we all head to the Minerva Crafts Centre for the blogger Meet Up – you're coming to meet us all there, right?

So, for my June post, all I can share with you is a few pictures and details for my Big Project that I'll reveal in two weeks' time! (Is that Liberty print fabric I can see...?) I can't wait to show you what I've made – it's possibly the most adventurous, satisfying and amazing dressmaking project that I've ever had the pleasure of sewing. I'm starting to believe that I'm finally moving from the 'beginner seamstress' category to 'confident tailoress' (alright, perhaps not quite!)

So what can I tell you? Well, yes, there is Liberty lawn fabric involved – and lots of it! I've also inserted an invisible zipper correctly for the first time in my life. And successfully sewn a bodice lining. And measured the whole thing perfectly so that it fits me in all the right places. Could this project have possibly gone any better?

But that's all I can say for now; if you want to see my finished outfit then you'll have to wait until June 14th when we'll all be Tweeting and Instagramming until our phones can handle no more. If you're coming to the Meet Up and the Minerva Crafts Centre then I'll see you there – I can't wait to meet everyone!
