Triple Crepe Cape

Capes are alluring. How such a simplistic design can be so evocative of drama.
For this month's project I chose a fairly easy project to sew. A Cape. I wanted the glorious triple crepe fabric
showcased to it's full potential.
The drape and movement translated in all the mystical and magical appeal from a RED cape. A garment that will make any outfit a stand out.
The pattern used was New Look 6151: Workroom from Project Runway. The pattern is described as relaxed fit coat with drop-shoulder and a notched collar.
With only 3 pattern pieces this could be a great project for beginners.
Crepe is very stable to sew but doesn't like pressing very much. The secret is to avoid scorching when pressing is using a 100% cotton clean damp tea towel between the iron and your fabric.
