WOW January has been cold hasn’t it!

All I’ve wanted to do is hide under blankets and wear every woolly layer I can get my hands on.

I have an ever growing love for Zpagetti Yarn at the moment: it may be the speed at which a project can progress, it may be the contemporary feel to knitting and crochet projects using this yarn but I really rate it. For my Minerva make this month Ive created this chunky crochet necklace with the instructions on how to make it...

This is a really quick make that is perfect if you’re just dipping your toes into the world of crochet (we are in January after all – the perfect time to pick up a new hobby!).

You Will need;

  • 12mm crochet hook

  • Scissors

To Make;
Create a slip knot in the end of your base yarn with a 25cm tail.
Chain stitch 30 and then cut another tail of 25cm. Pull this tail through your final stitch to secure.
Change to your second colour – begin with a slip knot and then double crochet into your base chain the whole way along.
This gives you a beautifully chunky necklace but you could go bigger simply by adding another row.

I love pairing my necklace with big comfy jumpers and warm long sleeve dresses!

Happy crafting
