Yarn FAQ's

I've discovered a knot(s) in my yarn. Is it faulty?

Manufacturers do their best to minimise joins in yarn, but it does happen occasionally. This does not mean your yarn is faulty. Please note: Fashion yarns are particularly susceptible to knots and this should not be treated as a fault. If you feel any yarn you have received has a particularly large amount of knots throughout the ball (more than usual) please contact us to let us know and we will pass these details on to the yarn manufacturer to keep them informed of any yarn qualities where customers are experiencing more knots than usual.

Will my yarn order be picked from one dye lot?

We only ever fill an order for knitting and crochet yarns from one dye lot. Please ensure you order enough to complete your project in one order as we cannot guarantee we will have the same dye lot on your second order with us.

Can I specifiy what Dye Lot I want?

We are currently unable to offer a service which allows you to choose your own dye lot if we have more than one available. If you wish to know the dye lots we have in stock to match a project you have on the go, we can check the dye lots we have available for you. Please contact our Customer Service Team on 01254 708068 or via email at and if we have the dye lot you require, we'll be happy to take your order for you over the telephone for this particular dye-lot.
